3. Bel Frites Kiosk

A Prototype for a French fry kiosk designed to be adjusted to fit different scenarios for in line, sit-down, and free standing locations. It is vital to the brand that there is a recognizable and consistent image in all these different settings. Using folded pleated geometry, we developed a simple architectural strategy that adjusts to various site contingencies. Signage was integrated with the architecture by cutting the letters of “Bel Frites” into the pleated folds. As one approaches obliquely from each direction, “Bel Frites” can be read clearly and frontally.
